Proverb 3:20

“By his knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.”

Not only, though, was wisdom the characteristic of God that worked to establish the heavens and the earth. But it was his knowledge that also set everything into motion. Imagine a world that wasn’t in orbit. A flower that didn’t bloom. People that didn’t interact. Seasons that never changed.

But because of his divine knowledge, he thought up things like rain, conversation, growth, change, cycles; lessons by which we could learn and emotions with which we can feel, intelligence for us to contemplate the ways of God and a will to choose to enter into a relationship with him.

How creative He is. And how wonderful to concoct something so intricate as the world to show how deep his love is for us and to provide the wherewithal to decide for ourselves if His is a way we want to pursue. And the daily grace and forgiveness to set us back up on our feet when we fall into our sinful nature, the subtle reminders that you are no longer a slave to sin. All because of the knowlege he had and used to our benefit for his glory.
