Proverb 1:25

“because you have ignored all my counsel
and would have none of my reproof,”

You know you are simple-minded (hate knowledge) when you reject reproof. 

When I’m criticized, what do I do? Am I defensive? Do I consider the reproach? After heavy consideration, am I able to admit my shortcomings and modify my approach the next time I face a similar situation?

These moments are opportune for growth, but only if I am open to it.

When Wisdom calls, I have two choices. Consider her words, or ignore her divine counsel.

But that small word, “because”, at the beginning of the verse, indicates that there is an impending consequence should I choose the latter…
